The RA Factor (Rheumatoid Factor) – Qualitative test detects the presence or absence of rheumatoid factor antibodies in the blood. Rheumatoid factor (RF) is an autoantibody that can be found in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), an autoimmune condition where the body attacks its own joints.

This qualitative test does not measure the quantity of rheumatoid factor but simply indicates whether the antibody is present. A positive result can suggest rheumatoid arthritis or other autoimmune disorders, although it can also be found in healthy individuals or in people with other conditions.
